St. John Chamber of Commerce History

Back in 1961 a few business leaders gathered together and founded an organization that has become a guiding force in the development of St. John, Indiana. In its early years, the St. John Chamber of Commerce focused its efforts on bringing businesses into St. John and encouraging settlement in the area.

The Chamber was re-organized in 1981 and there was a President, Ron Estep, Vice President, Jon Krumm and Treasurer, Bob Meinzer.

Over the years, the Chamber has been involved with many public issues that have helped to shape the town of St. John, Indiana. Today, with more than 50 years of experience and approximately 160 members, the Chamber of Commerce offers unprecedented benefits and opportunities to make area businesses prosperous.
