St. John's Schools

St. John has an excellent school system. Most students aged Kindergarten to Grade Five attend Kolling Elementary School while those living south of 101st Street attend Lincoln Elementary School. Students in Heron Lake and Heron Park attend the Watson School in Schererville. The Lake Central School Corporation updates the school boundaries from time to time so it's best to check first.

Students in grades six through eight attend either Grimmer Middle School or Kahler Middle School.

Most students attending High School would attend Lake Central High School located in St. John, with the exception of those living south of 101st Street who attend Hanover Township High School.

St. John the Evangelist Catholic School accepts students from Kindergarten through eighth grade.
