Annual Scholarship Award

Congratulations Monica Marek!!
2005 Scholarship Winner
Daughter of Edward & Renita Marek.  Monica plans to attend Purdue, either Calumet or the Lafayette Campus.  Her long term goal is to either become a Nurse Practitioner or to enter Medical School.

$500 Scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating Senior residing in the town of St. John.
For information on how to apply for this scholarship, contact the Chamber office.

2004 Winner: Steven Garbacz is currently attending Purdue University in West Lafayette.

Iconographer Joseph Malham   Iconographer and author will speak and demonstrate the art of religious panels and banners.  He uses materials and methods of master iconographers from past centuries.  Byzantine, Greek, and Russian originals inspire his images created for private and communal devotion.  Join us in this tribute to Christmas.   Please RSVP 365-1014 or samowner@sbcglobal.net.

Operation Uplink

The St. John Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 717 have a wonderful program that sends a message,
"We back Our Troops"
while providing moral support and comfort to those serving our country.  Operation Uplink is one of the most appreciated assistance programs offered by the VFW since 1996.  Through donations, a phone card is provided to service men and women, and hospitalized veterans.  This enables them to make free phone calls to family and friends.  They need the support of interested individuals and businesses to keep this program going.  Please make checks payable to:
